We have entertainment six nights a week at the Cavendish, so there is always something to do in the evenings! Entertainment takes place in the Babbacombe Bar which has seating for around 140 people. The programme changes occasionally due to illness, holidays etc and while we try to keep the website updated the acts listed here may or not be on at hotel during your stay. However this page should give you an idea what to expect while you are here.
Our acts usually start at 9.00pm, we may also play bingo or do a brief quiz before the entertainment starts but this is very much dependent on numbers.
You can be sure of an entertaining evening with our great guitarist Griff Griffiths. Griff is a talented musician who will keep your toes tapping all night long with a range of old and modern classics.
For more about Griff and to hear some of his tracks, see our very own Griff Griffiths page.
Throughout the year and usually on Saturday nights you can spend an evening with the ever-popular Bruce Stuckey. The former Torquay United and Sunderland winger wows our guests with hit songs from the 60s onwards, all presented with his own charm and unique sense of humour. Not to be missed!
Main Street are a very popular and lively duo who play a great set consisting mostly of 80s classics. Scott and Nick are very talented musicians and their set always goes down a storm.
On Wednesdays there is a weekly trip to Babbacombe Theatre for their new summer show, ‘Spellbound‘. The show is an excellent cabaret with singing, comedy, magic, dancing and more, and if you book your ticket at the hotel you get coach transport to and from the theatre included free of charge.
Alternatively you can stay at the hotel for in-house entertainment, with music for dancing in the bar through the evening.
Please note that the ‘Blazing Saddles’ Country and Western club is no longer held at the hotel.
