FAQ BannerWe get asked some of the same questions over and over again, so we thought we’d create a Frequently Asked Questions page here for some of the snippets of information you might not find elsewhere.

If you have any questions that aren’t answered here, please feel free to use the ‘Leave A Reply’ box to ask them below and we will add them to the page. Please do not use this box to check prices or availability as it is not monitored on a daily basis.

Q: Is there parking at the hotel?

Yes, we have a large car park that takes up to 36 cars. There is no charge for using it, there’s no need to book, and there are two disabled spaces beside reception. Part of the car park is usually designated for coach parking but there is ample space for all.

Q: Are there hairdryers in the rooms?

Yes, there are. There is also a colour TV, tea-making facilities and of course all our rooms are en-suite.

Q: What about Wi-Fi?

Free Wi-Fi is currently available throughout the reception and main bar area. Depending on your device, you might also get a signal in some of the closest rooms to reception.

Q: Do you have ground floor rooms for disabled guests?

Yes, we do. We have 96 rooms altogether of which 19 are on the ground floor. There are lifts to all floors and a further 23 rooms are accessible without guests having to use stairs.

Q: Do you provide towels?

Yes, hand and bath towels are provided. If you would like to use the swimming pools, you can either bring your own towels for this purpose or hire them from reception (50p each plus £5 returnable deposit).

Q: Is there a local coach station (National Express) nearby? If so where is the nearest?

Torquay coach station is about a mile away on Lymington Road. If you don’t fancy the walk, plenty of taxis meet the coaches (or if you give us a call we can arrange for one to collect you). The railway station is even closer, about 1/2 mile from the hotel and an easy walk.

Q: What time can we book in from? and what time is check-out?

Check-in is any time from 2pm, and check-out is at 10am. We can offer late check-outs and early check-ins from midday at an extra charge of £10 per room.

    • Yes, we do. We have 96 rooms altogether of which 19 are on the ground floor. There are lifts to all floors and a further 23 rooms are accessible without guests having to use stairs.

    • We do not have a gym but we are close to the English Riviera Centre which has all the latest exercise facilities. We have indoor and (seasonal) outdoor pools on site which are free for our residents to use.

    • Yes we will. We can cater for most diets on request and you will find the waiting staff and chefs are very helpful in this regard. In the case of dairy intolerance it would be best for you to bring your own milk, if you let your waiter know about your diet he/she will liaise with you and the chef accordingly.

    • I’m very sorry, although we love dogs we do not permit them inside the hotel unless they are guide dogs.

    • Children are half price if aged 4-14 with further discounts for under-4s. It is always worth checking our special offers too as occasionally we offer free child places, particularly at quieter times.

  1. Do your rooms include irons/ironing boards? if not, any facilities near by?

    • Yes, you can hire irons and ironing boards from reception for £5 deposit each, which you get back when you return the item(s).

    • Some rooms have baths, some have showers, some have baths with shower over. If you have a particular preference please let us know when you book.
